PREGNANCY PROGRESSION 19 – 38 WEEKS – Jacksonville, FL Portrait Photographer

Many of you have been following my pregnancy here and on Facebook since my BIG ANNOUNCEMENT. Well, here I am.  I started this project at 19 weeks and was super gung-ho about documenting the growth of my baby belly, however lost a little momentum throughout the pregnancy. I ended up with 8 stages when my goal was at least 9. Life for this photographer mom has been super busy so I am proud that I at least accomplished what I did and am super happy to have this to look back on. Oh, and many thanks to my pal Amy and my husband for documenting these images for me!

Tomorrow I turn 39 weeks and no sign of baby boy yet. I know I have a fantastically cosy womb, so I don’t blame the little dude. I know he will be worth the wait!

XO, Jaime

SHOWER FOR MY BABY J – Jacksonville, FL Wedding Photographer

For those of you who haven’t been filled in yet, I am pregnant with my third child and due on March 27th!! I am currently on Maternity leave – May 19th. My due date is quickly approaching and I am MORE THAN READY! Let’s do this Baby J!

This post is a little overdue since my shower was hosted back in January. My best friend, Laura and sister-in-law, Becca, threw me this beautiful party and I was overjoyed with how much fun everyone had. Many of my old friends and family from Gainesville drove up to help me celebrate along with my local crew. I am one blessed little lady to have such a support system. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate my little bundle.

XO, Jaime

I also want to give a special thanks to my friend Shandon with Lifeprints Photography for capturing the day for me. That was something I just did not want to do but wanted so badly!! You did a fantastic job and can’t thank you enough.

MORGAN + DONNIE’S AFTER SESSION – Jacksonville, FL Wedding Photographer

Yesterday I posted Morgan and Donnie’s rockin’ New Years Eve wedding that was held at The Lodge and Club in Ponte Vedra, FL. Since they did not want to see each other before their night ceremony, we had made plans for an After Session. Basically, an After Session is when a couple gets together with their photographer following the wedding for more portraits in their wedding attire. I love After Sessions because they allow so much more time, not to mention the couple is generally much more relaxed. They are super fun sessions and let me tell you how excited I was to photograph this sexy couple again! Their chemistry is jaw dropping and I couldn’t wait to get to work! Morgan decided that the newly built Jacksonville Public Library and The Cummer Museum were two places we had to go which was a perfect choice. I am thrilled to how these came out.

I am also excited about their album spreads. I included a few of those to show you how the two days came together perfectly.

Jaime Smith - Oh my goodness, Morgan…. THANK YOU!!! What a beautiful complement. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have been a part of this journey with you two. Bless you both with a long and happy marriage!!! XOXOXOMarch 6, 2012 – 8:10 pm

Morgan - I can’t say it enough; for the most important night of my life- photography was most important aspect to me. Jaime and Amy, you gave me my wedding night for the rest of my life. Every time I look at the artwork you two ladies put into my photographs, I am transported back to that night. Thank you, ladies, for a lifetime of lovely memories of the perfect night.March 6, 2012 – 7:59 pm

MORGAN + DONNIE’S NEW YEARS EVE WEDDING – Ponte Vedra, FL Wedding Photographer

Introducing my long anticipated blog post of our New Years Eve wedding! We had to wait to blog this beautiful wedding because I wanted to photograph their After Session first. I plan on posting that tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Morgan and Donnie’s wedding was magical. Their ceremony and reception took place at The Lodge and Club in Ponte Vedra, FL. We arrived at twilight to see The Club adorned with Christmas lights and a fire roaring at the ceremony’s garden. The two said their vows next to the fire with the sound of crashing waves. Tears of joy were evident amongst their guests as they walked arm and arm back down the isle together.

The reception was a blast! These folks really know how to throw a party! I love the idea of bringing in the new year this way….and by the looks of their guests, so did they! The night was as amazing and rockin’ as Morgan and Donnie are together and I couldn’t be more happy for them!

Congratulations to you two on your marriage! I am thrilled to have been a part of this journey with you. XO – Jaime

CARISSA + AUSTIN’S VINTAGE WEDDING – Lake Butler, FL Wedding Photographer

On one of the warmest days in February, Carissa and Austin’s wedding day was here. Their details were set and everything was in place. This was going to be a day to remember.

Carissa’s mother had mentioned that Carissa and Austin are two peas in a pod when we first met, and once I photographed them for their engagement session I could really see it. Every couple photographs different. Some exude extremely passion, some are super silly but Carissa and Austin are delightfully charming together and their small town, country wedding reflected them perfectly. I can see them both 50 years from now cuttled close in a movie theater like they were 20 again. Their love is full and on their wedding day it was bubbling over.

I was thrilled to be let into their families lives for this past few months and feel extremely blessed to be able to provide them with these images to help tell their story. Congratulations you two on a match made from up above! XO, Jaime

Kimberly - What a great wedding – the pictures really tell the whole story – love themFebruary 25, 2012 – 4:24 pm

CARISSA + AUSTIN’S VINTAGE WEDDING – Lake Butler, FL Wedding Photographer

I met Carissa and her mother for the first time at a cafe outside of my small town of Green Cove Springs. As usual, I brought my albums, brochure and contract to go over all of Couture’s business mumbo-jumbo. After a few minutes our conversation turned to family, Carissa’s wedding details and how delicious the cake was from where we were eating. I  do not know if Carissa noticed right away, but I did. We were a match! After getting to know her and her fiance, Austin, more during their engagement session I couldn’t wait for their big day and felt blessed that they asked me to capture it!

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your memories. Congratulations on your marriage and I hope you are having a wonderful honeymoon! More to come so stay tuned!

XO, Jaime
